Sharon Williston-Benadum was taught how to shoot by her father at a young age when he showed her how to shoot "Big Bertha" a 1904, single shot, hinge-break, 12-Guage shotgun with A LOT of kick that belonged to her grandfather.

Sharon recently joined the Board of Hold My Guns whose mission is to connect responsible firearm owners with voluntary, private off-site storage options, through a national network of partnering gun shops and FFLs, during times of mental health crisis or personal need.

Sharon is NRA Certified Pistol Instructor, Rifle Instructor, Chief Range Safety Officer, Range Safety Officer and NRA Certified Personal Protection In The Home Instructor, Home Firearms Safety Instructor and Personal Protection Outside The Home Instructor. She is also an A Girl & A Gun Certified Instructor, A Girl & A Gun RSO, USCCA Certified Instructor and recently became certified as an Image Based Decisional Drills Instructor through The Complete Combatant.
Sharon has attended the AG & AG National Conference in Burnet, TX and Grand Junction, CO where she participated in training conducted by nationally recognized instructors.

She and her husband enjoy shooting together and she is getting him more involved in the competitive shooting sports through IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association). Sharon also has competed in 3-Gun and participated in her first Major Match at the Ohio State 3-Gun Championship in 2018. Sharon also enjoys tactical training, has her Concealed Handgun License and has taken Vance Outdoors Home Defense Courses 1-3.

When not shooting Sharon enjoys her involvement as a volunteer with Ohio Shorthair Rescue and works as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor in private practice.
